These behaviours are normal behaviours for dogs and cats, only becoming 'problems' when they occur in inappropriate situations.

The key to resolving these problems is to understand the motivation for the behaviour from the animals' point of view. This allows for behaviour therapy to take place in a 'language' the animal will understand using modern reward based methods.
