Rally

Rally or Rally 'O' is a relatively new fun activity for you and your dog.  Rally takes place on a course rather like agility.  Dog and handler team navigate a course with numbered signs indicating different exercises to perform such as, Sit Down Sit, Straight figure 8, Send over Jump, Recall over Jump, Left Turn. Teams navigate the course at a brisk continuous performance without direction from the judge. Handlers are encouraged to talk to their dogs during the performance.  It's surprisingly challenging as there is a lot to think about, it's surprisingly fun because in no way is it strict obedience.  In my experience it's calming for the dog as it teaches the dog (and owner!) to concentrate and as such does wonders to improve a dogs responsiveness and relationship with the owner.

Daisy and I have been competing in Rally through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers(www.apdt.co.uk)

One2one Rally £35/hour or £20/half hour at the show ground in Shrewsbury.
